Peter Case, MBA – Managing Partner
Peter Case works on all aspect of consulting services for Benchmark clients. He works closely with each client to achieve their individual goals and needs and has extensive experience in both US and international markets.
Peter enjoys working with companies in different industries and sizes to assist them in achieving their short term and long term goals.
Peter graduated in April of 2001 Magna Cum Laude from the University of Denver with a BSBA in Finance and Business Administration. His first assignment was with a large automotive part manufacturer for Ford. The company wanted a physical presence in Germany to manufacture and distribute automotive parts to the Ford assembly plants located in Paderborn, Germany and Valencia, Spain. He arranged and was responsible for setting up and maintaining all German GAAP accounting and US GAAP accounting books. In addition, he coordinated all shipments of product from the US sister companies to the German office and distribution center located in Liederbach, Germany, including all EU customs clearance regulations and procedures. He maintained inventory levels at all Ford locations and the main distribution center to ensure supply chain requirements for Ford were fulfilled. He assisted the company in certification of the Liederbach office with the ISO 9000 credential for manufacturing automotive parts for Ford.
In 2002, After completing his assignment in Germany, Peter was assigned to the US corporate office of the automotive part manufacturing company, a $750 Million company in annual revenues with 26 locations. He was responsible for setting up an internal audit department, with the responsibilities of implementing Sarbanes-Oxley standards and procedures, conducting operational and financial audits of each individual location, and making recommendations for streamlining operations to promote cost efficiencies. He was also responsible for preparing all manufacturing budgets for each location for board approval and reported directly to the treasurer of the company. He conducted over 20 internal audits and produced approximately $250,000+ in annual savings for the company over the course of one year. In addition, he assisted one division to control cost accounting for all manufacturing product lines to ensure proper capture and reporting of all costs of good sold on the P&L statements.
In 2003, Peter became the President/CFO of a medical transportation company that had approximately $1,000,000 in annual revenue and one division. Over the course of 15 years, Peter grew the business to $34,000,000 in sales and expanded the company operations to 17 locations nationwide. In 2015, Peter participated in the company’s first sale to a private equity firm. For the next three years, peter aggressively grew the business and doubled the annual sales. In December of 2016, Peter actively participated and successfully closed the company’s first acquisition of a transportation company and successfully integrated that company and its clients into the culture and standards of the company. In 2018, Peter actively and successfully participated in the sale of the company to a larger Private Equity Firm, generating a 3X+ multiple of enterprise value for all equity owners.
Peter graduated in June 2020 with an MBA in finance from the University of Denver with a 4.0 GPA.
